SHARJAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to commence nonstop flights connecting Sharjah and Gdansk starting December 14, 2026, establishing a fresh link between the UAE and northern Poland. The airline will operate five weekly flights between Sharjah International Airport and Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport. The services are scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. This route will provide travelers in Poland’s Pomeranian region with direct air access to Sharjah.
Flights G9 0628 on Mondays and Saturdays will depart Sharjah at 4 p.m. and arrive in Gdansk at 8 p.m., while G9 0629 will leave Gdansk at 8:50 p.m. and land in Sharjah at 6:10 a.m. the following day. On Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, departures from Sharjah will occur at 8:15 a.m., with return flights departing Gdansk at 1:05 p.m. and arriving in Sharjah at 10:25 p.m.
Gdansk will become Air Arabia’s fourth Polish destination from Sharjah, following the airline’s December expansion plans. Currently, the airline serves Krakow and Warsaw Chopin Airport from its main base in the UAE, and will add flights to Katowice on December 17, 2026, three days after the Gdansk route begins. Katowice flights will operate four times weekly, further expanding the airline’s Polish network.
Gdansk Enhances Direct Connectivity with Northern Poland
The new route to Gdansk introduces a Baltic coast destination to Air Arabia’s European network from Sharjah. The airline also services prominent European cities including Athens, Vienna, Prague, Milan, Munich, Rome, and London Gatwick. Gdansk Airport serves the broader Tri-City region—comprising Gdansk, Gdynia, and Sopot—as well as other parts of northern Poland, offering both domestic and international connections for leisure and business travelers across the area.
Air Arabia Group CEO Adel Al Ali remarked that Gdansk would broaden the airline’s footprint in Poland. Tomasz Kloskowski, President of Gdansk Airport, emphasized the direct link between the Pomeranian region and the UAE. The airport has identified Sharjah as a transfer hub for onward travel to destinations including India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and East Africa. Consequently, the new flights will connect Gdansk passengers to Air Arabia’s wider network via its Sharjah hub.
Scheduled Launch in December with Five Flights Weekly
Air Arabia’s fleet of Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft will operate the Gdansk route, and bookings are now open. The schedule features flight G9 0628 from Sharjah on Mondays and Saturdays, with the return segments operated by G9 0629. Flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays will use G9 0626 from Sharjah and G9 0627 from Gdansk. All timings listed are local, and the route will operate nonstop in both directions.
The service launch on December 14 will extend Air Arabia’s direct Polish network just before the carrier begins its Katowice flights. With Krakow and Warsaw already part of the network, these new routes will give the airline four Polish destinations from Sharjah. Gdansk will see five weekly flights, while Katowice will operate four, according to the announced schedules. Air Arabia maintains that the Gdansk service with five flights per week will begin as scheduled in December 2026.
