SHARJAH / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to commence direct flights from Sharjah International Airport to Amman City Airport starting November 15, 2026. Operating four times weekly, this new route strengthens the air carrier’s links between the United Arab Emirates and Jordan. Currently, Air Arabia connects Sharjah with Queen Alia International Airport, offering travelers access to two airports in Amman. The upcoming flights will be scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Air Arabia launches Sharjah flights to Amman City Airport
Sharjah gains another direct Amman connection as Air Arabia expands its Jordan network.

Flight G9 169 will leave Sharjah at 8:00 a.m. and arrive in Amman at 10:30 a.m. local time, while the return flight, G9 170, departs Amman at 11:20 a.m. and reaches Sharjah at 3:15 p.m. local time. Reservations are now available via the airline’s website, call center, and travel agency partners. The route was announced on October 8, more than a month before its inaugural flight.

This new route from Sharjah enhances Air Arabia Group’s existing presence in Jordan, which already includes services from Abu Dhabi and Alexandria. Air Arabia Abu Dhabi operates flights from Zayed International Airport to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Additionally, the airline runs direct flights from Alexandria International Airport to Amman City Airport. The introduction of the Sharjah route provides travelers with an extra departure point to reach Jordan’s capital.

Additional Amman airport expands Air Arabia’s network in Jordan

Adel Al Ali, CEO of Air Arabia Group, highlighted that the new service offers travelers an alternative airport option in Amman. He noted that this route will add convenience and flexibility for passengers traveling between Jordan and the UAE. The airline will continue its existing flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport, making Amman City Airport a secondary gateway in Jordan on Air Arabia’s schedule.

Earlier this year, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi began operating flights to Amman City Airport, starting May 1, with three weekly nonstop flights from Zayed International Airport. Prior to the addition of this second airport, the Abu Dhabi-based carrier already served Queen Alia International Airport. When the new service launched, it increased the weekly flights to Amman to 10. The new Sharjah route now extends this dual-airport approach to the airline’s network in Sharjah.

Four weekly services strengthen UAE-Jordan air travel links

Throughout its published schedule, the new flights from Sharjah will operate under the G9 169 and G9 170 flight numbers. The airline’s fleet mainly consists of Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. Passengers can enjoy SkyTime onboard entertainment, SkyCafe meal service, and the Air Rewards loyalty program. The new Amman City Airport flights can be booked via the airline’s normal sales channels ahead of their scheduled November launch.

This November introduction broadens Air Arabia Group’s connectivity between the UAE and Jordan through multiple bases. Sharjah passengers will have direct access to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi travelers already enjoy services to both airports via Air Arabia Abu Dhabi. Alexandria also benefits from a direct route to Amman City Airport. The new Sharjah flights will contribute four weekly services to the Jordan network, expanding the airline’s presence in the region.
